Violin

Violin is a string instrument with four strings. Violin is sometimes informally called a fiddle. The violin is come from Middle Latin word vitula, which means stringed instrument.The violin, while while it has ancient origins, acquired most of its modern characteristics in 16th-century Italy, with some further modifications occurring in the 18th century. The person who makes or repairs violins is called luthier, of simple violin maker. The violin parts are usually made by differenet type of wood,  and it is usually strung with gut, nylon/steel composite, or steel strings.

The violin produce sound by drawing a bow accross one or more strings (which may be stopped by the fingers of the other hand to produce a full range of pitches), by plucking the strings (with either hand), or by a variety of other techniques.The violin is played in wide variety of musical genres, including Baroque music, classical, jazz, folk music, pop-punk and rock and roll. The violin is usually played using a bow consisting of a stick with ribbon of horse hair stung between the two opposite end of the bow.
